Lukenda Dental · Clark, New Jersey
Dr. Richard Lukenda, DMD
Rutgers 2000. UMDNJ 2004. Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists since 2014 — and the third dentist in his family.
Your dentist
He was handing over instruments before he could drive.
Dr. Lukenda’s father and uncle were both dentists, and he spent his teenage years assisting in their offices.
He had watched a few thousand appointments before he ever sat one of his own exams. He completed his undergraduate degree at Rutgers in 2000 and earned his doctorate at UMDNJ in 2004. Hundreds of hours of further training then pointed at a single thing: implants. The International Congress of Oral Implantologists made him a Fellow in 2014.
Experience with difficult cases
The cases other offices send away.
What that adds up to in practice is work involving dentitions that are failing all at once, full-arch reconstruction, and jaws that have been told there is not enough bone.
Each case begins with a complete view of the mouth, the available bone, the bite and the patient’s priorities before treatment is planned.
One dentist remains accountable from the first conversation to the finished smile.
Clinical focus
The work he chose to master.
Dr. Lukenda’s advanced training is concentrated on implant-driven and comprehensive restorative care.
